The Faculty of Arts of the KU Leuven, Brussels campus, is hosting a one day symposium on Belgian refugees on Thursday 13 September.
The event is open to the public and invites interested parties (academics, amateur historians, genealogists, archivists, librarians) to consider submitting an abstract and/or present a local history project.
Given the context of the Centenary, focus will lie with First World War Belgian refugees (UK, Netherlands, France, Switzerland...), but papers are invited to contextualize the topic beyond the 14-18 period.
A Call for Papers will go out end of March.
Further details will be cascaded then.
